Friday 1st June will see the return of Hot Food Friday!  Orders are placed in the usual way, via Qkr, and must be placed by Monday 8pm. The menu for Term 2 HFF is as follows:

Friday 1st June:  Pasta Bolognese
Friday 8th June:  Pasta Pesto with Green Beans
Friday 15th June:  Pasta Napolitana
Friday 22nd June:  Mac n Cheese
Friday 29th June:  Pasta Bolognese

Note: there are gluten free, dairy free, plain pasta options!

All sauces are homemade by a WPS parent volunteer, are packed with hidden vegetables, and are absolutely delicious! The pasta is cooked and served in the Canteen kitchen, again by WPS parent volunteers!

A big thanks too all who have volunteered their time to make this happen.  Without them, Hot Food Friday would not be possible!  If you are interested in getting involved, please get in touch with Elly (Logan 4 Bronze, Archie 1/2 Yellow, Isla K Green) in the playground, or email: ellymuir@live.com.au. Active-a-thon 2018

posted 21 May 2018, 20:59 by Canteen Waverley P&C   [ updated 23 May 2018, 16:38 ]

On Friday 25th May the P & C will host the 2018 Active-a-thon!  The Active-a-thon is a fun morning of activities for our kids, all while raising much needed funds for our school.  This year’s Active-a-thon aims to raise over $15,000 for Waverley Public School. This is just over $50 per student! In addition, any amounts over $2 paid through Qkr are tax deductible. The sponsor and payment form is attached below.

Who is ready to have some fun?

There are lots of fun activity stations to participate in, for example:

Activities provided by Sports in Schools.

Good old fashioned Tug of War!

As always, the amount of volunteers determine the success of any fundraiser in Waverley Public School. We need YOUR help to make this possible. Every extra volunteer counts! Help is required for the children on Friday in safe transition between and during the activities. The Active-a-thon will run from 9.10 – 11.10am. Please contact Priscilla (Isaac 4Bronze & Kalan 1 Purple) on PriscillaMarneros@live.com.au, if you can help on the day.

Let’s make this Active-a-thon Great!

Wiley's to supply all uniform items from 23 January 2017

posted 17 Dec 2016, 13:06 by Jacqueline Somosi   [ updated 1 Jan 2017, 12:09 ]

We are in the process to changing the way Waverley families will purchase school uniforms. The P&C uniform shop will now be operated through Wiley's, our long-time supplier of dresses.

This means that parents/carers will be able to purchase all items at their Bondi Store (150 Glenayr Ave) from 23 January, as opposed to just the summer dresses and winter tunics and at no change in prices to 2016!

The Bondi Wiley's store is open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm and from 9am to 1pm every Saturday. As well as purchasing at the Bondi shop, you can also place orders for new uniforms via the Wiley's website (www.wileys.com.au) or by telephone (9365 5631) during business hours, for free delivery to the school.

The uniform shop in the school hall will no longer be operating for new items. However the P&C will continue arrangements for you to be able to donate or purchase second-hand items at school - watch this space on that front.

Welcome to 2018 BBQ

posted 23 Nov 2016, 12:02 by Jacqueline Somosi   [ updated 30 Jan 2018, 02:19 by Canteen Waverley P&C ]

On Friday, 9 February 2018 we will welcome new families, and welcome back current families, with a BBQ on the school grounds. It all kicks off at 5pm.

This is a great opportunity to catch up after the long break and to meet new families who will have just joined the WPS community.

See you there!

Next meeting - Monday, 25 June 2018

posted 26 Oct 2016, 19:39 by Jacqueline Somosi   [ updated 22 May 2018, 23:53 by Canteen Waverley P&C ]

If you'd like to come along to discuss fundraising initiatives and potential expenditure for 2018 with other parents/carers, join us on Monday, 25 June from 6pm in the first floor teachers' staff room.

All are welcome.

It costs a mere $2 per family to be a member of the P&C. Membership is a great way to help shape your child's learning environment and contribute to our school community.

Halloween Disco

Unfortunately, we were not able to run the Halloween Disco in 2017 due to lack of volunteers.  We would love to bring this fantastic event back to the calendar, so please get in touch with the P & C if you would be interested in helping make this happen!

Our Market for 2018 is locked and loaded! Come along to support the school, or better yet, parents and carers are encouraged to pitch in as part of our merry band of volunteers. Even an hour of your time makes a huge difference. You can help in a myriad of ways - by whipping up a cake or some biscuits for our sumptuous cake stall; by cooking or serving on the BBQ; by helping bump in or out the stallholders; or by assisting with clean up after we wind up at 1pm.

If you would be willing to help out, or if you want to book a stall contact carboots@waverleyprimarypandc.org.au.
