Canteen volunteers

WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS, IT CAN’T HAPPEN.  YOUR HELP IS NEEDED......

The canteen depends very much on the parents/carers of Waverley Primary School students. By giving up a Wednesday once per term or even a couple of hours on a Wednesday twice a term you can help the canteen continue to provide yummy, nutritious food to your kids.

Help is not just required in the kitchen preparing the meals, but also in:

      downloading online orders

      sorting and packing bags

delivering Recess and Lunch bags to classroom

many other little duties that all add up to a big effort

It is a great way to get to know other parents at the school, the Waverley teachers and the Waverley students. Best of all, is the thrill your children gets from seeing you at the counter or delivering the orders to the classroom. There’s also a free cup of coffee from Ruby’s Diner - a big thanks to Ed.

In previous years we have had a great team of parents who regularly volunteered. Many have moved on or have other work/training commitments.  While many parents can't afford to give such a generous amount of time, we ask that you consider 1 day a term or 2 half days a term. Your offer of help would be greatly appreciated by the canteen.
